Welcome to our library! My name is Becky Cochrane. This year will be my fifth year as the librarian here at Cornerstone! I love our school and our school library. I grew up in Belmont, NC. I graduated from Peace College, and then UNC-Chapel Hill, where I received a BA in Elementary Education. I taught Kindergarten in Wake County Public Schools and second grade in Guilford County Schools for a total of 10 years. My love of reading led me to become a Librarian. I received a Master of Library Science from East Carolina University. I am certified in North Carolina as a K-12 School Library Media Coordinator, K-6 Elementary Teacher, 6-8 Middle School Language Arts Teacher, and 9-12 High School English Teacher.
My husband Andy attended NC State and is a mechanical engineer with Industrial Air, Inc. We have three daughters who all attend Cornerstone.
I love reading, gardening, traveling, and spending time with my family.
