My name is Maggie Martin and 2023 marks my 11th year teaching in the classroom 🙂 I was born and raised in the mountains of North Carolina, but I have loved living in Greensboro for more than a decade. I studied Mathematics, History, and Vocal Performance at UNC-Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) and then completed my Masters in Medieval History at UNC-Greensboro. I love to sing, and sing to my students quite frequently. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Shaun, our nearly four-year-old son, Ian, and our cat, Leia. I’m also a bit “geeky” – I’m proud to be part of many TV fandoms (any Doctor Who fans here?). I have likely played a few of the video games my students know, and I’ve read a lot of the all-time great youth book series (Harry Potter’s still a favorite!). I love being a part of the Cornerstone family and teaching math at such a wonderful school!
