Tori Mocharnuk

My name is Tori Mocharnuk. I am looking forward to another great year at Cornerstone Charter Academy. I am looking forward to teaching 2nd grade again this year.  I taught 3rd grade for 6 years at Greensboro Academy and 3 years at CCA-CFA.  Last year was my second year in 2nd grade.

I was born in Greensboro and have lived here my entire life except for the 4 years I went to college. I graduated from Roanoke College where I played soccer. After I graduated from college, my husband, Matt, & I were married. We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary this summer. He works at Lincoln Financial, and in his spare time, he enjoys writing songs.  We have two children.   Dylan is our oldest, and he will be entering 11th grade this year. Abby is our youngest, and she will be entering 7th grade this year.  

Both of my kids and I play soccer. If I am not in the classroom this year, more than likely, I will be on the soccer field as a coach, a parent, or a player.

We have a HUGE dog whose name is Magnus Bane. He is supposed to lose weight, but that doesn’t seem to be happening. 

I know my last name looks scary to say and spell. You can call me Mrs. Mo. However, I will say that it is a possibility that spelling my last name may be a bonus question at some point in the year. 🙂
